Qualifications for Review: Diploma in Health Science and Diploma in Holistic Nutrition

Have your say! The New Zealand Diploma in Health Science (level 5) [Ref 3510] and the New Zealand Diploma in Holistic Nutrition (level 6) [Ref 3511] are under review.

 

The New Zealand Diploma in Health Science (level 5) [Ref 3510] and the New Zealand Diploma in Holistic Nutrition (level 6) [Ref 3511] are under review, with a survey launched this week, to get feedback and suggestions from industry.  The survey will be open until December 14, 2022.

Qualifications for review:

New Zealand Diploma in Health Science (level 5) [Ref 3510]

This is a great opportunity for anyone within the health and/or nutrition industries to have their say on these qualifications, ensuring they are fit for purpose now and into the future.  This review is expected to be complete mid-2023.

New Zealand Diploma in Holistic Nutrition (level 6) [Ref 3511]

Advisory Group

To help support this review we are also seeking submission from interested parties to join a proposed advisory group that Toitū te Waiora is looking to establish.

 Proposed Composition

We are looking to appoint industry and subject matter experts to be part of an Advisory Group reviewing for two qualifications we are responsible for developing at Toitū te Waiora.

  • NZ Diploma in Health Science (level 5)
  • NZ Diploma in Holistic Nutrition (level 6)

Members will be appointed based on their experience within the sector, and their understanding of industry and/or learner needs relating to the qualifications.

We are looking for representatives from the following groups:

  • Professional Associations
  • Industry
  • Recent Graduates employed in the industry
  • Tertiary Education Organisations
  • Iwi and Māori business
  • Pacific Peoples
  • Tāngata whaikaha (disabled community)

Members are expected to have:

  • Subject matter expertise in their discipline or industry
  • An interest in skill development, training, and delivery of educational programmes in their sector
  • The ability to collaborate with others in the sector, including Toitū te Waiora and our delivery partners.

Commitment

This advisory group will be required to meet as needed throughout the period of the review.  Membership of the group is unremunerated.
