Toitū te Waiora proudly hosted its first kanohi ki te kanohi (face-to-face) hui with the newly established Social Services NIAG this week.

This dynamic group represents a collection of voices from across the social services sector and is dedicated to advocating for sector needs, influencing the strategic direction of qualification reviews, and addressing workforce trends and challenges.

The hui sparked insightful discussions around the future of the social services workforce, with members sharing valuable data, insights, and strategies to ensure a sustainable workforce for the future. We’re excited for the continued collaboration and passion this group will bring.

A NIAG focussed on the early childhood education sector has also been established and will come together for the first time later this month. Our goal is to ensure that the education and training provided within their sectors aligns with the evolving workforce demands and supports the career aspirations of learners, building a sustainable workforce.
