TEC Investment Advice 2023/2024
We are pleased to present our Investment Advice for the Tertiary Education Commission for the coming 12 months. As a WDC, we fulfil our role by amplifying the voice of our sectors within the vocational education system. We engage in industry and Iwi partnerships, provide investment advice to the Tertiary Education Commission (TEC), establish standards, and develop qualifications.
Annual Report
Our first annual report dives into our mahi from our establishment in early October 2021 through to the end of our first financial year on 30 June 2022. It demonstrates how we have operationalised and embedded Te Tiriti o Waitangi principles, our successes and learnings, and much more.
Operational Plan 2022/2023
It gives us great pleasure to present our Operational Plan for 2022/2023. This plan outlines how Toitū te Waiora will work to ensure that vocational education and training meets the needs of the sectors we represent, both now and into the future.
Establishment Plan PDF
The approach we taking to make the Workforce Development Council operational is described in this Establishment Plan. This plan covers the “Establishment Phase” of our WDC, defined by the TEC as the period from 1 July 2021 until 30 June 2022.
Workforce Development Plan
This Workforce Development Plan is a living document, that will be changing and evolving as industry needs change and evolve. It is a preliminary document, with a schedule of individual workforce development plans to be released in 2023. We know that our industries have faced many changes over recent years and will continue to do so, so our focus in 2023 and beyond will be on working closely with each of them to ensure that their own workforce development plans will be reflective of their present and future needs. Keep an eye out for the 2023 schedule. If you'd like to connect with us about the plan for your sector, please let us know at
