In response to a request from FENZ on 21 December 2022, Toitū te Waiora have granted New Zealand Red Cross Incorporated an exemption to the current refresher training grace period for unit standards 6401 and 6402, and the revised grace period for unit standards 6401 and 6402 that will commence on 1 February 2023.

FENZ employees who did not complete refresher training in 2022 for unit standards 6401, 6402 and 23406 will be able to complete that training via New Zealand Red Cross Incorporated through to Friday 30 June 2023.

FENZ refresher training covers unit standards 6401, 6402, and 23406, and comprises of eight hours of training and assessment.
