Toitū te Waiora would like to thank those who provided feedback regarding the proposal to introduce a New Zealand Diploma in Community and Social Services (Level 6). Toitū te Waiora will not be supporting the development of this qualification at this time. With the changes to the Social Workers Act (2003) and subsequent mandatory registration of Social Workers in 2021 this qualification does not currently provide the opportunity to pathway into Social Work.
