The Toitū te Waiora Workforce Development Council will be closing operations from 19 December, and disestablished from 31 December 2025. The Education, Health and Community Industry Skills Board will pick up its functions.

Revision of Early Childhood Education and Care Unit Standards 10013, 29852, 29854, 29856, 29863, 29867, 29870

Following a request from stakeholders Toitū te Waiora is proposing extending the last date for assessment (LDA) of the following unit standards:

  • Early Childhood Educational Theory and Practice: 10013, 29852, 29854, 29856, 29863
  • Early Childhood: Family, Whānau, Community, and Society: 29867, 29870

Why change? Currently the last dates for assessment of these standards do not align with the last dates for assessment of some of the programmes that use them to assess learner achievement. Extending the LDA for the unit standards will align them with qualification LDAs that were recently changed to accommodate Te Pukenga unified programmes.

Changes:.

  • The last date for assessment has been extended to 31 December 2025 from 31 December 2024.
  • Weblinks to references have been updated where necessary.
