Proposed New Zealand micro-credential in conducting cervical screening (Level 6, 10 credits) and revision to Consent and Moderation Requirements 7

Toitū te Waiora (TTW) was approached by EIT | Te Pūkenga in September 2023 to enquire whether the WDC would consider re-packaging their existing cervical screening training scheme into a national micro-credential. Following discussion, TTW agreed to list a national micro-credential.

TTW consulted with the National Cervical Screening Programme (NCSP) in November/December 2023 regarding the national micro-credential award, and the proposed micro-credential is now published on the TTW website for public consultation.

TTW has edited the Consent and Moderation Requirements document for NZQA Cervical Screening to reflect changes in assessment for unit standard 29556 (‘Conduct Cervical Screening’) published in 2023.

We’re seeking consultation on the proposals by 5pm on 30 January 2024.
