Toitū te Waiora is reviewing four smoking cessation unit standards and developing new skill standards to better support Aotearoa, New Zealand’s health and wellbeing workforce.

This project aims to update the content to reflect current evidence-based practices, create clearer pathways for learners, and strengthen stop-smoking services throughout Aotearoa, New Zealand.

Calling all stakeholders:
We want to hear from educators, stop-smoking practitioners, health promoters, industry representatives, and anyone with an interest in tobacco control and smoking cessation. Your feedback will help shape the future of training in this field. We’re keen to know how these unit standards work for you, any gaps in current training, and any new concepts or approaches that should be included.
