David Waters is the Chief Executive of Health Standards Aotearoa NZ and the Chair of the Paramedic Council Accreditation Committee.

David holds a number of governance positions in the health sector in New Zealand and Australia. This includes his roles as Director of QA Health and DAA Group (Designated Audit Agency Health and Disability Services) and Director of World Stroke Taskforce.

He has previously held a number of senior roles in the health and public sectors. He was previously chair of the interim Establishment Board for the Health, Community and Social Services Workforce Development Council.
