Grant Cleland has over 30 years’ experience working in the health and disability sector. Born with a physical impairment and using a wheelchair for mobility from childhood, Grant brings both lived and professional experience to the table.

In 1997 Grant developed Creative Solutions. He provides disability-related advice, support and training for the private, State and NGO sectors, and the disability community.

Grant was previously Chief Executive of Workbridge and is on the Board of NZQA. He has extensive experience in governance, leadership, social change, project management, strategic planning, facilitation and training.

In 2023 Grant became an Officer of the Order of New Zealand for services to the disability community.
