Hera Williams is the Sector Partnership Manager in the Partnership and Engagement team. She is of Ngāpuhi, Tainui and Ngāti Kahungunu descent and is based in Pōneke, Wellington. Hera has 25 years teaching experience including 12 years as a lecturer in the Bachelor of Teaching at Open Polytechnic. She has led and delivered kaupapa Māori papers across Aotearoa leading a team of experts and predominate leaders within Iwi Māori. Hera works with communities, sits on multiple boards, works in Tiriti Partnerships/Māori Crown relationships and networks far and wide across industry. Her passion is to make a difference, to influence change within the vocational education system. Hera will continue to weave relationships internally and externally with sector partners, iwi, Māori, hapū, Pacific and tangata whaikaha. Equitable partnerships and relationships between all cultures and tangata whenua across Aotearoa is something she prides herself on.
