Beauty Services Qualifications have been approved July 3rd, 2023 Toitū te Waiora are pleased to announce that the review of six beauty services qualifications have now been approved and published by NZQA. New Zealand Certificate in Nail Technology (Level 4) [Ref:3443] New Zealand Certificate in Beauty Therapy (Level 4) [Ref:3444] New Zealand Diploma in Beauty Therapy (Level 5) [Ref:3445] New Zealand Certificate in Spa Therapy (Level 5) [Ref:3457] New Zealand Certificate in Specialised Epilation Therapy (Level 6) [Ref:3458] New Zealand Certificate in Specialised Skin Care Therapy (Level 6) [Ref:3459] Toitū te Waiora was unable to reach consensus regarding structural changes to the qualifications, and will therefore undertake a further review in 2025. The rationale behind this is to provide more time for the sector to establish agreement about how the qualifications can best address the needs of the beauty industry. To help support this, Toitū te Waiora set up a Beauty Services Sector Advisory Group at the beginning of 2023. This advisory group will help drive future qualification reviews and the development of new NZQCF products.
